What Is The Perfect Tile Size?

What Is The Perfect Tile Size?

When we talk about the “perfect tile size” it really comes down to personal preference and the size of the space. We have put together some things for you to consider, but tile size is something to spend some time to consider!

The Perfect Tile Size For The Bathroom.

There are obviously a lot of different opinions for the perfect tile size for your bathroom. The space you have in your bathroom may affect the ideal tile size for you. If you have a small bathroom however, this doesn’t necessary mean that you must limit yourself to small tiles. Larger tiles can give a spacious feeling to the room, due to their being less lines between tiles. It is important to look at all of your options for tile options and don’t limit yourself. It is recommended to use tiles for bathroom walls that are above 4 inches in size. You can also use tiles with a 1:2 height to width ratio. For example, for a larger tile for your wall, you could use a tile with height of 30cm and a width of 60cm. Bathroom floors allow for a lot of variety in tiles sizes and endless possibilities. 30cm by 60cm can also be used for bathroom floors to continue the look throughout and if the space allows it even a 60x60cm would be a great choice for a cleaner look with less grout lines. When deciding what size tile, you should go with, you should always measure your room and thus work out how many tiles will fill the space. With the 25cm by 40cm bathroom tile, you will end up with a good number of tiles, no matter your bathroom space. Another popular option to consider is 7.5cm by 22.cm tiles which work well for smaller bathrooms.

The Perfect Tile Size For The Kitchen.

When considering kitchen tiles, you have various options. With limited space between the cabinets and worktop, smaller tiles are better suited for this area. You can also consider 10x20cm, these are a popular option! These tiles are easy to install and are easy to customise. In all other areas of the kitchen there are options for larger sized tiles, but this should solely be used for larger spaces. There are benefits to this size, but consideration of your kitchen size should be taken before purchase.
